I either broke an axle or spider gears went out again. I felt awesome for two seconds though. I got to passes tonight. One na pass. 8.50 and one with bottle pressure only at 500 psi ran a 7.95 @ 88 mph with a 1.70 sixty. The next pass i heated it up to 1100 psi. It was at 1050 when i launched at 5k. I swear it had to be like a 1.60 or a 1.59 sixty, lol. Then POW!!! Had to jack up rear end and get it off the track. It eventually unlocked when we got it on the trailer. Then When i got it home, it pulled up the driveway 3 ft then clacking sound from drivers side. The tire was moving in and out. I was able to back it up again and same thing. Wonder if I just broke the axle. I was leaving on a 150 shot with stock spec rearend. Gonna pull cover off tomorrow.
Thanks to tim who stayed and helped load, then follow home and helped unload. Thanks to my friend around the corner than went home and got his trailer and truck to tow me home for FREE. It pays to be only less than a mile from the track. And have friends/neighbors around you that go to the track with a trailer. LOL
Next to come, fully built rearend. Aint going through this again. Just gotta save!!!
Will load pics as soon as available.

hopefully its just the axle that broke. Ive still got my stock I can throw in. I'm gonna pull diff cover when I get off.
Either way it'll be next season when Im racing again. Im glad theres only one week left, so I wont be missing much racing, lol. It did feel good for a sec when it hooked. 400 hp and 457 trq feels great ta the track.

Sounds like spider gears.
If it was spider gears the car wouldnt move at all. Ive had two stock rearends break in the last two years. Thats second rearend for me this year.

Sorry to hear bro. Hope you get her back up running soon
I'm surprised the brakes kept the axle in the tube, my mosers were only 275 so....what route you gonna go with the rear?

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
it was only a broke axle. the spider gears and diff is just fine. The axles are two years old. Wonder whats the warrenty for them. I might just get better axles. Ill use my stock axles for now. I can have it driving again tomorrow for only $58. Gasket, 2 qts of royal purple gear oil, limmited slip additive, and hi temp sealant.

how do I get the broke axle out when its seized in the housing. It wont even push in enough to get the c clip out. I know i could cut the spring in the middle. Idk if that would damage my clutch packs. Im trying to save everything and only get by with changing axles out. Think heating it would let it slide enough to get c clip out?

I have the Moser 31 spline axles in my stang. They have held up well.
I have an auto so its a little more forgiving at the launch.
I would say the Mosers are a good choice.
ATbl,
if you didn't see my other post on WS, the c clip elims are for drum brakes you need the set for disk brakes which summit sells those aswell...
